Beelink have released the Beelink AP42, a new Windows 10 mini PC powered by the quadcore Intel N4200 Apollo Lake processor. It’s available from GearBest for $179.99 with free shipping using coupon GBAP42.
Thanks to its fanless design, it’ll be completely silent – making it well-suited as a HTPC or compact work PC.

Beelink have kept a minimalist grey design, though a swiveling external WiFi antenna is definitely unique.
In terms of specs, the new Beelink AP42 mini pc features 4GB RAM, 64GB of eMMC storage, USB 3.0 ports, dual band wireless AC, Gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth 4.0.
There’s also an M.2 bay for installing your own SSD (up to 320GB) if you need additional storage.
Out of the box, it’ll come preinstalled with Windows 10 (presumably Windows 10 Home).
It’s clear Beelink have considered cooling, with the company opting for an aluminium case with a large heatsink instead of a fan. This is particularly important if you’re using it as a media player as you want to keep extra noise to a minimum.
That said, how effective Beelink’s cooling is is unknown though I haven’t experienced thermal throttling with other Beelink devices to date.
Beelink also seem to be producing a VESA mount that’ll allow you to mount the mini PC to your monitor for a compact workstation setup much like the Beelink BT7.
