Minix Unleashes Neo X8-H Plus TV box. Adds H.265 and GB Ethernet

Minix has announced an upgraded version of their Neo X8-H Android player. Called the Neo X8-H Plus, this device leverages the new Amlogic S812 chipset to deliver a comprehensive multimedia experience and potentially fixing some of the deficiencies in the Neo X8-H. By changing to this new chip, the Neo X8-H Plus can now decode H.265 video in addition to receiving gigabit Ethernet capabilities. The wireless card is now also capable of Wireless AC.

The Neo X8-H Plus features a quad-core processor running at 2Ghz, coupled with octo-core Mali-450 Graphics. The box runs on Android KitKat 4.4.2. The box features HDMI, Optical Audio, 2x USB ports, and Gigabit Ethernet. Externally, the box looks identical to its predecessor.

Minix Neo-X8-H Plus Inside

According to manufacturer images, the inclusions in the box seem to be the same as the Neo X8-H, including a power adapter, OTG cable, power cable, HDMI cable, Wifi Antenna, IR remote and user manual.  The Minix M1 Airmouse is also included in the package.
