R-Box Pro Android 6.0 TV Box Features Octacore Amlogic S912 and 3GB RAM

The R-BOX Pro is a new Android TV box powered by the octacore Amlogic S912 SoC.

Shipping with Android 6.0, the R-Box Pro comes in two versions. The high-end model ships with 3GB of DDR3 RAM, 16Gb of eMMC storage, dual band b/g/n Wifi, gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth 4.0.

There’s also a slightly cheaper model that drops to RAM to 2GB to save a few dollars.

The R-Box Pro’s design looks interesting, with marketing images suggesting that it’ll feature illuminated trim that can be either red or blue (presumably based on the unit’s power state).

There’s no info on what sort of launcher will ship with it, though expect the usual apps such as Kodi to come pre-installed.

Inside the box, you’ll get the R-Box Pro Android TV box, power adapter, remote control, IR extension cable, HDMI cable and a manual.

Where to Buy the R-Box Pro

The R-Box Pro is currently available for pre-order at GeekBuying, starting at $74.99 for the 2GB RAM model.

It’s also available at GearBest. Use coupon “GBRP3” to get the 3GB model for $69.99 or “GBRP2” to get the 2GB model for $63.99.

    • Hi Ramiro,

2GB of RAM will be fine for 90% of use cases. That said, if you want to play games or switch between apps, the extra gig of RAM won’t hurt ;)
