Ugoos AM2 Android Dongle Based on Amlogic S905

Ugoos have unveiled the Ugoos AM2, an Amlogic S905-powered Android dongle that features 1GB DDR3 RAM, 8GB of storage, dual band b/g/n WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth 4.0.

The company states that the AM2 is targeted as users wanting a good quality device that is still economical.

The Ugoos AM2 uses the same form factor as the company’s UM3 device with some minor tweaks and a champagne color.

Ugoos have also added some custom features into their Android firmware, including one-click rooting, a file server and hardware monitor.

Ugoos are one of the better companies for post-release support so expect the usual stream of regular updates fixing bugs and adding cool new features.

Getting One

It seems that the Ugoos AM2 is available directly through Ugoos, though I’d expect it to start appearing on various sites in the coming weeks.
