Smartphone maker Xiaomi have revealed a brand new Xiaomi Stereo Bluetooth speaker. Following on from their excellent previous attempt, the new Xiaomi Bluetooth speaker adds a heap of functionality covering off most of the criticisms of the previous model.
The Mi Bluetooth speaker’s aluminium frame is smaller than a pencil case. However, that doesn’t mean it can’t be loud. Xiaomi are claiming that it can pump out audio at 90db at 0.5m which is pretty impressive.
A micro SD slot supporting micro SD cards up to 32GB allows music playback without a connected smartphone whilst a 3.5mm AUX input is perfect for devices that don’t have Bluetooth.
There’s also a microphone allowing hands-free calling and 4 buttons for media control.
The integrated 1500mAh battery can be charged via micro USB and should keep the music playing for around 8 hours.
With Xiaomi’s excellent reputation for quality products, the new Mi Bluetooth speaker should be a winner.
