Kore, the Official Kodi Remote App, Released

As of this morning, Kodi now has an new official remote app for Android. The old Android remote app appeared to be abandoned and wasn’t updated for a long time. This was why I’d long since switched to Yatse as my Kodi remote on Android devices.

The new app, called Kore,  brings playback controls, library browsing and “Now Playing” information, all wrapped up in Material design.

It also comes with a setup wizard to make setting it up a breeze.

Whilst Yatse is far more powerful, owing to its maturity, the presence of an official app is fantastic.

If you want to take Kore for a test drive, you can download it from Google Play.
