The UGOOS UT3+ is the latest Android TV box from Ugoos. Featuring the older-but-still-incredibly-powerful Rockchip RK3288 processor, the UGOOS UT3+ take its excellent predecessor and adds a stylish new metal case and HDMI In.
The box runs Android 4.4 and seems to come with a similarly TV-friendly launcher like the one seen on the UGOOS UT3S, which used various tiles for shortcuts and folders.
The HDMI In port supports watching content on the connected device, picture-in-picture and recording. There’s no information on the supported framerates/resolutions but I’d suspect 1080p30 would be the minimum (as is the case with the Zidoo X9).
The Mali-T764 GPU in the RK3288 is probably one of the fastest for gaming, making the box great for those who want a combination of multimedia and games in the one unit.
The other specs are pretty typical of other Android TV boxes, including 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, dual band wireless AC and Gigabit Ethernet.
Getting One
The UGOOS UT3+ is available at GearBest for around $118.
I believe the UT3+ has different eth and WiFi specs than what you state in this article. According to the product page at ugoos.net, it should be 10/100/1000 and dual-band AC, same as previous UT3(S). Gearbest apparently has incorrect specs listed too.
Hi Michael,
Thanks for letting me know. When I wrote the article, UGOOS hadn’t updated their site.
Fixed now!
