Windows Stick PCs are spreading. Asus have just announced the Asus Vivostick, a $129 stick PC powered by the Intel Cherry Trail processor.
It’s clearly not the first stick PC, following Chinese manufacturers like MeLE and devices from larger manufacturers such as the Intel Compute Stick. However, Asus have managed to cram a fair bit into the Vivostick’s svelte 138 x 34 x 15mm case.
In terms of specs, the Asus Vivostick features 2GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. There’s also a USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0 port, a micro USB port for charging and 3.5mm audio out. Oddly missing is a micro SD card slot meaning that expanding storage will be limited to USB devices, taking up one of the two precious USB ports.
Connecting it up to your display is handled via the integrated HDMI connection.

The Asus Vivostick will be available for $129 but release date and availability haven’t been announced yet. Stay posted.
