After seemingly being dormant for a while, Tronsmart have quietly revealed the Tronsmart Ara IZ37 – a dual boot mini PC featuring both Windows 8.1 with Bing and Android 4.4.

- RAM: 2 GB DDR3
- Storage: 32 GB internal storage + micro SD slot
- Video & Audio Output: HDMI, 3.5mm Audio
- Connectivity: Bluetooth 4.0, 10/100 Ethernet – WiFi unknown at this stage
- USB: 2x USB 2.0 port
- OS: Dual-Boot: Windows 8.1 with Bing/Android 4.4
It seems that this is the year of dual boot mini PCs and it will be interesting to see how each of the manufacturers attempt to differentiate. Tronsmart have explicitly mentioned that the Tronsmart Ara IZ37 will feature “hot switch” functionality, allowing you to change operating systems without powering down the device.
Tronsmart have also revealed that the Android distribution on the Tronsmart Ara IZ37 will be provided with the Google Play store installed, which is great news. Unfortunately, I can’t find any reference to wifi connectivity, however, given the presence of Bluetooth 4.0, its almost a given as the two typically share the same silicone.
