The Alfawise H96 Mini is a new Android TV box powered by the new quadcore Amlogic T962E chipset that features HDMI In. It’s currently on sale at GearBest for $59.99 with free shipping – but only for the first 300 units.
In terms of specifications, it features 16GB of storage, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 100Mbps Ethernet, dual band wireless AC and Bluetooth 4.0. It also runs Android 7.1 so you’re getting a recent version of Android.
The Amlogic T962E features four ARM Cortex-A53 cores with a pentacore Mali-450 GPU. Gaming performance should be decent, though won’t be anywhere near as good as the Nvidia Shield TV.
4K 60fps video playback is supported, in addition to HDR for improved image quality on supported TVs.
It also features HDMI In, so you’ll be able to connect other HDMI devices to it (up to 4K is supported). However, there’s no word on whether recording is supported or if you can only view a connected device.
