Inside the box, you get the VOYO Mini PC, power adapter and user manual. Frustratingly, VOYO have still neglected to include a mini HDMI cable in the package.
It seems that VOYO have kept most of the specifications identical to the original VOYO Mini PC, apart from the new SoC and RAM upgrade. Interestingly, VOYO are now officially advertising the presence of the 1000mAh battery that was discovered in the previous model.
The upgraded SoC should be slightly faster than the Intel Z3735F, with an improvement in both CPU and GPU clocks. For a comparison of two CPUs, click here.
The new SoC also sees a jump in RAM from 2GB to 4GB which should greatly assist multitaskers.
However, these performance improvements do come at a cost, with the retail price being significantly higher than its predecessor.
Overall, I am curious as to how the new model performs but I am concerned that VOYO have simply put a more powerful CPU into the same case. As I noted in my VOYO Mini PC review previously, the original device was very prone to thermal throttling due to poor cooling. So, I am hoping VOYO have learnt their lesson but only time will tell.
