Beelink have released yet another Android 5.1 box powered by the Amlogic S905 box, this time opting for a more compact case ideal for those who need to save space. Coming in at 96x96mm, it’s considerably smaller than their previous models.
Specifications are respectable, with 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 16GB of eMMC storage, 2.4GHz Wifi, Gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth 4.0. Beelink’s definition of Gigabit is a little interesting though, with their marketing material stating that it caps out at around 120Mbps. That’s not too surprising though, as a number of “Gigabit” boxes I’ve tested fall short of the theoretical maximum during benchmarking.
From a software side, I’m not sure what launcher it’ll run though I’m guessing it’ll be based on the MediaBox launcher. OTA updates are enabled for easy updates, Kodi is pre-installed and DLNA, Miracast and Airplay streaming are all supported.
