Beelink have released new firmware for the popular Beelink X2 TV box. Version 103K4 apparently fixes issues with root on the device. You can download the Beelink X2 firmware here.
There are two ways to update the Beelink X2’s firmware. The first is to use the local update:
- Copy ota_XII_V103K4.zip to the X2’s local memory.
- Run the System Update app on the home page.
- Select Local Update, select Select File, select Local Memory and then select the file ota_XII_V103K4.zip you copied.
- The system will auto reboot, update the firmware then reboot again after around 50 seconds.
Alternatively, you can use install update_X2_V103k4.img via Phoenix Suite.
Update: Looks like the firmware’s been pulled due to issues with reliability of the update process
Have a look at the Freaktab post on the issue: http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-support/allwinner-tv-players/534539-here-for-x2-red-light-issue-and-other-problems
How to hard reset it, before to turning on ?
Hi,
I’m not sure I understand. Were you trying to do a factory reset?
A friend did online update and now does not work, there is a way to restore everything?
I believe there will be. I’d have a look on Freaktab to see if anyone has a guide to reflashing the stock firmware.
The firmware download link is no good. Please update or advise….
Hi John, thanks for letting me know. I’m trying to source an updated link but it does seem Beelink pulled the update due to reliability concerns with the update process.
