The $69 I5 Mini PC (not named after the Intel Core-i5 processor family) is a new Windows PC powered by the quadcore Intel Z3735F.
Whilst the rest of the mini PC world has moved on to the now-ubiquitous Intel X5-Z8300 Cherry Trail processor, the I5’s ultra-low pricetag and VGA support may be enough to sway those looking for a cheap Windows box.
The rest of the specs are typical, with 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 32GB of eMMC storage, 2.4GHz wifi and Bluetooth 4.0. It runs 64-bit Windows 8 out of the box but should be able to be upgraded to Windows 10 before the upgrade cutoff.
There’s also a VGA port in addition to HDMI to easily allow you to hook it up to a PC monitor. No word if you can use both VGA and HDMI simultaneously for a dual monitor setup though.
Inside the box, you’ll get the I5 Mini PC, wifi antenna and a power adapter.
