Yatse, the Kodi Remote for Android, pulled from Google Play

Yatse, the Kodi Remote app for Android, has been been suddenly pulled from the Google Play store after 2 and a half years. Developer Tolriq announced the bad news on the Yatse Google+ page Friday.

At this stage, Tolriq is still trying to understand why the app was suddenly removed, with Google stating it was removed for “violation of the intellectual property and impersonation or deceptive behavior provisions of the Content Policy” – an obscure description at best.

Some rumors pointed to Team Kodi being involved, particularly given the recent release of the official Kore remote app. However, Team Kodi have officially stated they had no involvement and offered to support Tolriq in trying to resolve the issue.

Rest assured we’ll post an update if the situation changes.
